Our mission is to create meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with Autism and other Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, building a workplace where everyone feels valued, included, and empowered to succeed.

Couple of Scoops began with a dad, a dream, and a wonderful daughter named Molly.
After Jim created employment opportunities for Molly and her friends with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities at their fun novelty socks store named "Couple of Socks" in 2023, located inside the Tacoma Mall, Molly's dad conceived another way to bring people together. Since Molly really loves people and ice cream, Couple of Scoops was born in Gig Harbor - a place where sweet treats create more meaningful jobs and lasting connections.
Every scoop reminds us that inclusion makes life a much sweeter.

At Couple of Scoops, walking through our doors feels like stepping back into fun. Think bold colors, shiny counters, red chairs, and the warm glow of hanging lights. Every detail is designed to capture the playful spirit of an old-fashioned, yet colorful ice cream parlor with tons of candy.
Our shop is more than a stop for dessert or a candy treat—it’s a place to linger, laugh, and make memories. Families can settle into cozy chairs, kids can peek over the counter to watch their scoops being served, and friends can catch up while sharing a sundae or their favorite scoop of candy.
Behind the smiles and scoops is something deeper: every scoop is served by a team built on inclusion and belonging. We are proud to provide meaningful jobs for adults with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities, our shop is really more about our people and giving them an opportuniuty to thrive, using ice cream and candy as a vehicle to do such is a bonus.
