Our mission is to create meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with Autism and other Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities, while fostering a workplace where everyone feels belonging, contributes, and thrives. A business built for the sole purpose of enriching the lives of some really Special People, with no personal financial gain.
Couple of Scoops started with a simple idea: Ice cream brings people together, it fosters the good in people. But, we want to do more than serve sweet treats, we're creating a place where everyone feels valued. By building fun and purposeful businesses to employ individuals with Autism and other Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities, we’re building a team that feels included, feels purpose, senses their value and feels community, from right here in our Gig Harbor community. Every scoop we serve is a reminder that inclusion makes life a little sweeter.
At Couple of Scoops, every cone, cup, sundae and bag of candy you purchase supports meaningful jobs for some really Special People in our community. Do you want to help us, help others? Our shop is more than a stop for dessert or a candy treat—it’s a place to linger, laugh, and make memories. Families can settle into cozy chairs, kids can peek over the counter to watch their scoops being served, and friends can catch up while sharing a sundae or their favorite scoop of candy.
Behind the smiles and scoops is something deeper: every scoop is served by a team built on inclusion and belonging. We are proud to provide meaningful jobs for adults with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities, our shop is really more about our people and giving them an iopportuniuty to thrive, using ice cream and candy as a vehicle to do such is a bonus.
